ONDARA LOGISTICA INVESTES 1.000.000.-€ TO REPLACE THE COLD EQUIPMENT IN ITS LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE IN CALDES DE MALAVELLA (GIRONA)
Kyoto protocol targets for the emissions decrease, forced the reduction of the global production of HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons) by 70% before 2030. HFC is a common component in many refrigeration facilities, such as in our warehouse in Caldes de Malavella.

Ensuring the maximum sustainability of our emissions in the logistics operations that we carry out for our clients, in Ondara Logistica we approved back in 2019 a global remodeling project of our warehouse refrigeration system at Caldes de Malavella, which had already been operative for a long time.

With an approximate investment of 1.000.000.-€, we contribute with our small part in conserving our environment, taking a step forward in our active Corporate Social Responsibility policy.

During 2020, the technological alteration that basically consists in the total replacement of the cold generating equipment by other one with more modern technology has begun to be executed. This change will contribute to bring great electricity savings to the company and the elimination of the HFC refrigerant from the system

Progressing at a very good pace, the job is expected to be finalized by the end of the Summer, when we will be able to count on an optimized, sustainable and top quality cold storage service, that we are always providing to our clients.
